Overview
The graduate medical education program at AllianceHealth Durant provides residents with the knowledge, skills and values that can serve as the basis for compassionate and competent clinical practice, public service and scholarly research.
AllianceHealth Durant is committed to the education of graduate physicians involved in healthcare and providing the best possible environment for training the future medical workforce. Our program is committed to providing wide-ranging, rural based, community-oriented primary care to our patients. This program originated in 1997 and has provided an outstanding training experience for residents in family medicine.
Accreditation Status
Our program has obtained Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Continued Accreditation through 2031. We are a 3 year family medicine residency program and are approved for 15 residents total, 5 per class.

AllianceHealth Durant residency program is affiliated with Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences and the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
