AllianceHealth Durant Recognizes Nurses’ Crucial Roles in Healthcare
5/7/2017
Durant, OK, May 8, 2017 – AllianceHealth Durant will celebrate the men and women who have chosen the field of nursing during National Nurses Week (May 6-12). We honor the care nurses provide to patients and their leadership in continuing to improve healthcare and their commitment to patient safety. The 2017 National Nurses Week theme, “Nursing: the Balance of Mind, Body and Spirit,” is about celebrating nurses who lead the charge for health and wellness, responsibility, and helping to combat the known stresses that nurses and other healthcare providers face.
“We interact with nurses every day—in our hospitals, physician offices, schools, within the public health department, workplaces, and beyond, yet too often, they go unrecognized or underappreciated.” said Brian Bradley, Chief Nursing Officer at AllianceHealth Durant. “Because of this ever-present role in our communities, nurses are vital to building a society that places well-being at the center of every aspect of life and we are happy to honor them during National Nurses Week.”
The purpose of this week-long celebration is to raise awareness of the value of nursing and help educate the public about the role nurses play in meeting the healthcare needs of Americans. Join us in celebrating the nurses of our community, who are at the forefront of improving patient care, transforming healthcare and keeping our communities healthy.
