The cardiac rehabilitation professionals provide a customized exercise and education program designed to help patients maintain an acceptable level of activity. Education sessions are targeted to understanding and dealing with cardiac disease.
Patients attend a 12-week monitored program. These sessions concentrate on exercise and other important aspects of daily living, such as good nutrition, healthy eating habits, preventing infections, smoking cessation, breathing retraining, energy conservation, oxygen therapy and stress management.
Participants must be referred to our program by a physician. The staff will schedule an orientation appointment to discuss rehabilitation, answer questions and determine whether participation in the program is covered by insurance.
