AllianceHealth Durant Awarded Certification for Joint Replacement-Hip and Joint Replacement-Knee from the Joint Commission
7/25/2016
AllianceHealth Durant announced today it has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Certification for Joint Replacement-Hip and Joint Replacement-Knee. The certification is for Joint Commission-accredited hospitals that have elevated the quality, consistency and safety of their services for patient receiving joint replacements.
AllianceHealth Durant underwent a rigorous onsite review in May of 2016. The Joint Commission experts evaluated compliance with standards for hip and knee replacement, including orthopedic consultation, and pre-operative, intraoperative and post-surgical orthopedic surgeon follow-up care.
“Achieving Joint Replacement-Hip and Joint Replacement-Knee Certification recognizes AllianceHealth Durant’s commitment to provide care in a safe and efficient manner for patients,” said Wendi Roberts, executive director, Disease-Specific Care Certification, The Joint Commission. “The certification will help AllianceHealth Durant better provide coordinated and comprehensive care to patients undergoing a hip or knee replacement.”
“AllianceHealth Durant is pleased to receive certification from The Joint Commission, the premier health care quality improvement and accrediting body in the nation,” added Jeff Tarrant, CEO of AllianceHealth Durant. “We look forward to improving patient safety and quality of care for the increasing number of patients undergoing hip or knee replacement surgery.”
